In all my other priorities, I list a few ideas I think would be beneficial to Greater Bendigo. However, if Council isn’t up to scratch on the basics, these other ideas won’t fly.

• Councillor Accountability in Whipstick Ward.
  Moving back to single councillor wards means constituents have one person representing them. If I am elected, ensuring I represent the full range of views in the ward will be my top priority. I won’t personally agree with everyone, but I will work my hardest to understand your point of view and represent that view.

• Focusing on services that matter to you.
  The three ‘Rs’ of Local Government became known for a reason. Roads, Rates, and Rubbish services are vitally important to a functioning City like Bendigo and it is the view of many* that councils are not doing enough in this area. I want to change that, by pushing for a renewed focus on local government basics, with an aim to see improvement within 2 years of the new council taking over.
